How to Draw Hands

Hands are difficult to draw becasue they can easily look asymetrical. (That’s why so many artists “hide” them by stuffing them into pockets!)

A lot of us don’t fully understand what’s underneath our skin. There are actually 27 bones; that comprise are hands, of course we don't need to know all of the bones but it's good to have a general understanding of the joints and structure. This is really important for when visualizing a character in your head, you'll be able to iimagine how someone’s hand might look holding their child's hand or an ice cream cone and similarly how their bones and joints would move.
